Georgia Attorney General Sam Olens announced that their workplace Friday filed a lawsuit against a lender that is payday related financial obligation collector for flouting state regulations and past warnings to stop lending and collecting into the state.
Olens stated that the lawsuit had been filed against Martin A. Webb, Western Sky Financial, LLC (Western Sky) and CashCall, Inc. In accordance with Olens, Western Sky Financial is operated and owned by Webb. CashCall acts while the servicer associated with the loans and manages the assortment of payments. CashCall now offers pay day loans that are funded by Western Sky.
The stateвЂ™s Pay Lending Act specifically prohibits the making of payday loans, including the making of payday loans to Georgia residents through the Internet day.
